  • Domestic Clearing and Settlement / YTH

    Compensation, clearing, and settlement operations of international payment system transactions of the banks, such as VISA, MasterCard, Diners Club, JCB, which are performing transactions in the domestic market and which have Membership and Service Contract with BKM, are performed through this system.

      • Batch transfers of online and / or offline transactions of domestic credit cards
      • Batch transfers of only offline transactions of domestic debit cards
    • Functions on transactions
      • Interbank compensation, clearing, and settlement of credit card transactions
      • Interbank clearing for offline transactions of debit cards
    • Graded fee tariffs of BKM and commission fees of the members that can be defined as overall or individually
    • Principal and commission settlements of members at the single account being kept at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey
    • Collecting Credit / Debit card fraudulency notifications and transferring them to other systems and modules
    • Creating detailed clearing invoices for the members
    • Preparing statistical data consolidation and making them available for the industry
  • Message Switching System

    BKM Switch System was put into operation on August 1st, 1993 in order to provide domestic and international debit card and credit card switching service to our members. The following services are offered to our members through BKM Switch System:

    • Online Credit Card Authorization
    • Stand-in Credit Card Authorization
    • Debit Card ATM Sharing
    • Debit Card POS Sharing
    • Password Management
    • Visa (Base I), MasterCard (BANKNET), AmEx ATM Acquiring Routing
  • Secure Internet Shopping (3-D Secure)

    It is ensured that the international solution, which was developed in order for secure shopping via Internet, is used effectively and productively by BKM members by supporting this solution with the infrastructure, created at BKM, and security elements, such as a single-use dynamic password and mobile signature.

  • Closest ATM Application

    BKM, has completed GPS pointing project for all ATM addresses of its members throughout entire Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and ensured that all ATMs are indicated on the map. In order to support this project, Closest ATM application is prepared. The content of the project has been expanded during 2010 by adding branch search function.

    This application is aiming to show any ATM / branch that users want to see through Web and WAP and to assist them in finding the ATM / branch that is closest to them by detecting the locations of users through their Blackberry, iPhone and Java compatible phones.

  • BKM Data Warehouse

    Services for maintaining authorization and clearing records of Card Payment Sector in order of protection from fraudulency and for purposes of statistics, market research and market development and if required, for querying and analyzing these records both by members and BKM.

  • International Settlement System - AmEx Module

    Provides a clearing infrastructure between members, which are offering AmEx ATM acquiring service and AmEx Payment System.

  • Joint POS Management System

    It has been developed in order to manage joint POS operations of the banks under the same umbrella throughout entire Turkey. It is possible to create POS Installation / Change, POS Return, POS Version Deletion, POS Ownership Change, POS Bank Addition calls through OPYS. Furthermore it is possible to create POS Installation and Bank Addition Request for a bank that wants to participate to the sharing. If Single POS company is selected during the installation and other banks do not reply to or reject the call / offer for sharing, Single POS Installation is also possible. All transactions that can be done manually through the web interface are also supported via Bank Integration channel alternatively. Work orders are sent automatically to POS Service Companies and received feedbacks are shared with all users through the system. It is possible to track the results of all calls as well as the performances of banks and POS service companies with various reports.

  • Reporting

    BKM collects monthly statistical information from its members for Card Payment Sector. Data, generated in BKM and collected from the members, are consolidated and various reports are prepared regarding market shares, numbers and volumes of card payment system transactions in different levels (credit card, debit card, payment sector, cash, shopping, member merchant, industry, city, paid in installments, on-us, not-on-us, domestic, international, EMV, MO/TO, e-commerce, etc.), cards, customers, accounts, merchants, POS, ATM, virtual POS, branches / offices, number of member employees, numbers and amounts of domestic / international counterfeiting and fraudulency, account balances at the end of periods, fees, etc. and these reports are submitted to our employees through BKM Online.

  • BKM Online

    The infrastructure for communication and sharing information between BKM and members according to predefined access authorizations.

  • Combined Warning List

    Disputed cards, notified through online communication methods by the members, are consolidated and shared periodically with all BKM members.

  • Security Portal

    Security Portal provides an infrastructure allowing the members, BKM, Expert Police and Gendarmerie to share information, information requests, and transaction confirmations in accordance with Information Security Standards of Card Payment Systems.

  • Switch Fee Billing

    This service meets the compensation and settlement needs of debit card transactions, which are processed through BKM Switch System. Debit card transactions and services provided to credit and debit cards between the banks are compensated and settled through a central and standard processing mechanism.

    • Consolidation of statistical data based on source and target member, transaction type, acceptance, rejection, authorization acceptance on behalf, authorization rejection on behalf, and cancellations and making these data available for the industry
    • Assessment of performances of the members
  • Chargeback Document Sharing Service

    This service ensures that in case of a dispute between the members, the documents that are required to be shared are associated with Domestic Clearing and Settlement System and Brand Sharing Clearing and Settlement System data, submitted to members through electronic media, their processes are checked, and they are recorded centrally.

  • Central Merchant Database

    The database ensures that data of merchants, which are included to Card Payment Sector of BKM member banks, are collected in a central location and the records of merchants that have made an agreement with more than one BKM member are matched, a unique ID is given to each merchant and merchants are tracked with this unique ID.

  • Brand Sharing Clearing and Settlement

    Clearing of credit card brand sharing transactions between the member banks / organizations is performed through this system and Clearing Center, which includes all special requests and commission rates of the parties. It is ensured that any debt and credit, arising out of such transactions, are settled in net amounts at BKM account, which is kept at the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.

  • Security

    Sharing the information under the coordination of domestic and foreign card institutions and BKM ensures that fraudulency risk is prevented and the trust towards Card Payment Sector is increased. Furthermore, counterfeit cards and devices used to produce counterfeit cards, which are seized during the operations of law enforcement officers, are examined and results of these expertise examinations and card related information obtained from such counterfeit cards and devices are announced to members and foreign card institutions and so counterfeit card usages are evidenced.

    Quantitative volumes of credit card counterfeiting and fraudulency actions are determined and several efforts are performed to prepare the rules / procedures and projects for preventing the risk.

  • Corporate Communication and Marketing Activities

    BKM conducts several activities to inform and build consciousness on Card Payment Systems among cardholders and merchants by establishing common platforms. Cardholders and merchants are informed about credit cards, debit cards and new methods with intensive and continuous advertisements, PR programs, periodical trainings and seminars organized by cooperation of BKM and its members.

    BKM conducts sponsorship activities in organisations like Finance Summit, Cardist concerning the financial sector in order to support Card Payment Sector and raise the awareness for BKM.
