Membership Acceptance Criterion
A. Corporate Body Memberships
- The corporate bodies who wish to be a BKM member within the borders of Turkey should be;
banks subject to Turkish Banking Law 4389 issuing or intending to issue debit cards under their own titles, or
banks/institutions who are members of at least one of the Visa International, MasterCard International institutions - Subject to the approval of BKM Board of Directors, the international banks outside Turkey may apply to BKM for membership.
B. Evaluation Criterion for Membership Application
Applications of banks or institutions that make application with sufficient and adequate documentation to receive service from BKM are evaluated by the BKM Board of Directors and are either approved or otherwise rejected. In the event that the application is approved, the applying banks or institutions are notified along with an acceptance letter. In the event that the application is rejected, the situation is again notified to the applying bank in written.
